This image, one of our newest, is an image that should not have happened. We are blessed with many Elk here in Montana but as most know the behavior shown in this image is not typical. We had a late hunting season here this year so the elk were under more pressure than usual for a longer period. This group were found about twenty miles north of Yellowstone Park. They would come down from the high country to a meadow not to far from our home on occasion when they felt it safe to do so. We found them to not be accessible for photographs or any form of close viewing. In this case persistence and paying close attention to their "comfort zone" during several attempts to photograph them finally payed off.

These prints are Evercolor Luminage Archival Digital Prints. This image is available the two sizes shown below. The matting is special on this item and comes with a brass title plate.
